In Yakuza 3, there are two 'levels' of completion to substories. Halfway into the fifth the Amon should die. When the first three revolvers are out, switch to the other three. When the fight begins pull a revolver and press Y until it is empty or the hammer gets too close, then run away a bit and continue. News Board Guide and Walkthrough (PS4) by CyricZ Version: 1.2 Updated: Previous: Akiyama's Substories Table of Contents Next: Tanimura's Substories Substories Saejima's. You don't need anything else, no armor or healing items actually. As for the hammer fight (because that is the only one who can do actual damage) bring 6 revolvers with Saejima (mostly as a reference, you only need 5 actually). I put the Sacred Tree Armor on Tanamura but it was probably unnecessary. I bought 15 or so Staminan Royales for each character and I used two on Akiyama, 5 on Kiryu for safety reasons and none on the others. This fight is a joke, even with non maxed characters. Luckily I tried it before I spent time on grinding because the main game was very easy on normal. Since I struggled with the Amon fights in previous games on easy I thought I will need to lower the difficulty and max myself out for this. Just watch out for the Orbital Laser blasts, as CyricZ mentions in his guide. For Kiryu, you'll want healing items and possibly the pistols, but I beat Jo with a few well-timed Tiger Drops and a whole bunch of Komaki Parries. Youll then give the other guy some advice (Personality boost) and then youll notice a baby crying from the nearby club. Anyone who has played Yakuza 2 (or Kiwami 2 ), your ship has come in. For Tanimura, if you have the Sacred Tree Armor you can wait for him to begin his spray-and-pray animation and deliver XXXYY combos very effectively, then parry him repeatedly into a wall once he's close enough. After you complete Substory 5, head just south of Otohime Land to find a yakuza shaking a guy down for baby formula. For Akiyama, I'd recommend filling on Tauriners and just luring him to the walls for Essence of Wall Crush. Getting one of those right away got him out of orange heat and into red heat, at which point he was no longer healing, and I only needed one other heat action to put him out of action for good. That took him down to about three-quarters, and I then paused, popped another Tauriner, and then switched my weapons to stun gun/etc. I then emptied the remaining gun, rebuilt heat, grabbed/threw him again, and then delivered another heat action while he was on the ground. Those took him down to about a health bar. I finally got past Jiro by emptying two guns right away to build heat, swapping to unarmed and grabbing/throwing Jiro, then delivering a heat action while he was on the ground. Weapons break if you use them in regular attacks, but if you pop Tauriner for heat and then equip an umbrella or stun gun or something like that, you can deliver a lot of damage in a short period of time. I had three revolvers plus three additional weapons for heat actions. Having struggled against Jiro's ever-refilling health gauge, I'll say that pistols are a must for Saejima, unless you're really good. ![]()
