12/7/2023 0 Comments 20 kw to ampAm I going to tell OP how many foot-pounds of torque to tighten his lugs? No. In general, I would consider it ok to give general advice in the topic as an electrical engineer. I have actually designed a commercial level makerspace with many CNC's and a manifolded dust collector system. and i think its well within the bounds of engineering a solution, whether its telling them they need a new panel to run a few things, or upsizing overcurrent protection based on voltage, current, and inrush. The original post is about load calculations and power draw, not running cable. would all this need to be accounted for? if 20 kw is too much draw, what do you think a safe kw of power draw in a residential area while i can safely run my other appliances if need be?ĭo i have to pay my power company to install or upgrade my main power panel My other concern is that my main power panel will be the source of my cnc machine and my other appliances. Would all this parts of the cnc be okay to work at the same time in terms of draw of power? The machine has three components that needs to run at the same time So i did some calculation to see how much total kw is being provided to my house by the power company which is 200 amp x 240 volts = 45 kw. Because this machine is coming from china and i dont want my neighbor or anyone else getting hurt because of my negligence. Send the moderators a message and we'll unblock it as soon as possible.
